Or Papa, just like what we used to call you. Just thought of writing to you, wherever you are, even though you may not understand half the things here.
This month marks the 8th year which you had departed from us and we had all grown. The three of us are adults now, and Mama has become an Auntie who spends most of her time at home and probably half of her time in the coffee shops, catching up with her Auntie Frens (AFs). BTW, she has achieved her senior status 2 years ago, when CPF Board granted her the eligibility to cash out her CPF. Other than that, I have changed quite a no. of jobs in between but pretty much stable now with the current one. And no, you have not been promoted to Grandpa yet… We are still enjoying our single-hood very much : )
Well, we have done something proud though. This year CNY, we have two cars to bring us around 'cos Meimei and me have bought the same cars in our National flag colors. We are traveling out more often for meals and are frequenting the Tiong Bahru coffee shop porridge place (it's called 阿昌by the way) almost once a week. The business there has expanded over the years with two other branches opened in Geylang and Toa Payoh. There are more helpers now so we don’t really have to wait long for the food. But anyway, we always call to order first. The porridge still tastes good as ever but we find the Yu Sheng a little too expensive now for its quantity. Nevertheless, the place has also brought back fond memories of eating with you years back.
CNY is round the corner. Remember we had this picture taken back in 1999 at one of the cousin's place during CNY? It will always be the best family photo taken thus far.

Smile when you see this, wherever you are.
