I saw this

The journey by car from Jurong West to Changi was long. We took 1 hour and 10 mins to reach our destination and on our way saw this beautiful sight and couldn't help myself to grab my phone to capture this.

Someone told me to drive towards the end of the rainbow and I might find my pot of gold there. Is there really one there?

Hello Dad…

Or Papa, just like what we used to call you. Just thought of writing to you, wherever you are, even though you may not understand half the things here.

This month marks the 8th year which you had departed from us and we had all grown. The three of us are adults now, and Mama has become an Auntie who spends most of her time at home and probably half of her time in the coffee shops, catching up with her Auntie Frens (AFs). BTW, she has achieved her senior status 2 years ago, when CPF Board granted her the eligibility to cash out her CPF. Other than that, I have changed quite a no. of jobs in between but pretty much stable now with the current one. And no, you have not been promoted to Grandpa yet… We are still enjoying our single-hood very much : )

Well, we have done something proud though. This year CNY, we have two cars to bring us around 'cos Meimei and me have bought the same cars in our National flag colors. We are traveling out more often for meals and are frequenting the Tiong Bahru coffee shop porridge place (it's called 阿昌by the way) almost once a week. The business there has expanded over the years with two other branches opened in Geylang and Toa Payoh. There are more helpers now so we don’t really have to wait long for the food. But anyway, we always call to order first. The porridge still tastes good as ever but we find the Yu Sheng a little too expensive now for its quantity. Nevertheless, the place has also brought back fond memories of eating with you years back.

CNY is round the corner. Remember we had this picture taken back in 1999 at one of the cousin's place during CNY? It will always be the best family photo taken thus far.

Smile when you see this, wherever you are.

I am full of grievances.

First it was the Management. In view of the coming festive period, we are getting paid early this month. They are kind enough to let us have our AWS too. But early pay day means early cut off for everything else including allowances and commission. Alas, the relevant department couldn’t make it in time to calculate the commission. Means we, the people who bring in the revenue to the company, are not getting paid our commission this month. WTF.

Then it was the Machine folks. Can’t they just get the bl$%dy contracts signed and move on to implementation? Poor me has been chasing for contract every single day with the fear that we can’t make it in time for the January live run. Darn.

And then today. I hit the kerb while making a U-turn. Thankfully there was no scratch no nothing. But that hit was embarrassing. Yes. It was. Darn. That U-turn was not even considered a challenging one but yucks I had to make that stupid blunder... It must be the flu. First it was the seemingly burnt sensation in the throat on Sat night. Then the fever. Then the headache. Then the cough. Now the runny nose. What’s the problem with the medicine?? Isn’t it supposed to treat the flu?? #$%^

December is supposed to be a happy month. Why am I feeling so blue?

2 shocking news in a day

And both of them relate to the deaths of people.

One of my ex colleagues, whom I remember is a young, fit and bubbly lady had passed on due to cancer.

The other is this, whom I feel has a better singing vocal than the champion in the same singing competition:

I can only say, while some are inspiring to lead a fruitful life, others are ending it without regret.

Life is fragile yet beautiful in every way.

How high is your cholesterol?

Been eating too much good food.. Thought I had better get mine checked. Results: Good. Total reading within the acceptable range, though my HDL is a little on the low side. But still overall, it's fine.

My reading from last year. See, it went down from 229 to 171. My mama said it could possibly be due to my salsa classes. I got exercise OK?

Latest Happenings!

Probably Lewis Hamilton waving inside his racer during the F1 practice.
Then again.. It could be Felipe Massa...
But nothing beats more than making a one-color MJ with a self-pick "2 bamboo kalong" plus additional 3 animals!
